Young Influencer Abhinav Arora Faces Death Threats Amid Viral Video Controversy

The family of Abhinav Arora, a 10-year-old spiritual content creator from Delhi, has reported receiving life-threatening messages allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Abhinav’s mother, Jyoti Arora, shared with news agency ANI that the threats began with a missed call, followed by a chilling message warning that Abhinav would be killed. This distressing development led to a formal police complaint, filed at City Kotwali in Mathura under Section 351(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, to ensure the child’s safety.

Describing her son’s devotion, Jyoti expressed disbelief over the threats. “Abhinav has done nothing but devotion. He’s a young, innocent child. To receive threats for his spiritual activities is beyond comprehension,” she said, voicing the family’s alarm at the unexpected escalation.

A Young “Bal Sant Baba” and His Spiritual Journey

Known as “bal sant baba,” Abhinav Arora has gained attention as one of India’s youngest spiritual figures. His Instagram account, which boasts over 900,000 followers, showcases his journey and devotion, which he claims began at the tender age of three. Abhinav’s growing popularity in spiritual circles led to recognition from public figures, including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, further fueling his influence in the devotional community.

Controversy Over a Viral Video

Abhinav recently became the center of controversy after a video of him chanting and dancing during a religious event went viral. The clip captures the well-known spiritual leader Swami Rambhadracharya asking Abhinav to step off the stage. Swami Rambhadracharya commented on the incident, calling Abhinav “a foolish kid” and expressing disappointment in the boy’s performance, stating, “It’s unfortunate.” The video, taken in 2023 at an event in Vrindavan, sparked intense debate online, with some questioning the role of children in devotional preaching.

In response, Abhinav and his mother downplayed the incident, explaining that Abhinav was engrossed in his devotional singing and unintentionally disrupted the decorum on stage. Jyoti Arora stated, “This is not the big issue it’s being made out to be. Even the scoldings of elders are like blessings, and Swami Rambhadracharya blessed Abhinav after the incident.” Abhinav echoed his mother’s sentiments, emphasizing that people are focusing on the scolding rather than the blessings he later received.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang: A Notorious Name in Crime

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has made headlines for high-profile threats and violent acts in recent years. Linked to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and various threats to public figures, including Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the gang’s influence has permeated social media and the news. Despite being incarcerated, Bishnoi has allegedly continued to orchestrate murders and attacks, making him a significant figure in India’s crime scene.

With Abhinav Arora’s name now added to the list of those targeted by the gang, concerns have grown over the potential danger faced by young influencers and their families in the era of digital exposure.

A Family’s Plea for Safety

As the Arora family seeks protection for their young son, Abhinav continues to focus on his devotion and spirituality, undeterred by the threat. Jyoti Arora concluded, “We only ask for safety. Abhinav’s path is one of devotion and peace, and we hope it can remain that way.”

This unfolding situation underscores the challenges faced by young influencers who share their lives publicly, as well as the risks associated with the visibility that social media brings.
